Project

Client required a re-design of their internal trading website. Initially, the request was for a re-design of the user navigation. However, after researching the site and discussing current issues with the client leads, the project evolved into a full-scale re-design of the entire system. The challenge for me was to quickly understand this particular sector of the market and its end users. While the type of market was similar, the disparity of the types of traders made this a very challenging and rewarding project. Additionally, I began looking into a competing prototyping application called Axure. In order to learn and vet the software, I chose to build this client's deliverable using the new software.

My Role

• Defined user needs using qualitative and quantitative research and analysis.
• Documented design requirements and user goals.
• Established usability guidelines through heuristic evaluation of current site and prioritised those findings for design.
• Improved usability and consistency through enhanced visual design encompassing entire interface and across independent trading disciplines within the future market.
• Collaborated with business and technical teams to review project requirements.
• Designed and prototyped the user interface using Axure.
• Obtained buy-in of design direction from the executive sponsor of the project through creative vision, project planning and providing successful iterative results.
• Established high level of trust with the client by providing end-to-end support, creative solutions and attentive customer service.
