Project

In response to the loss of nearly $7 billion perpetrated by a rogue trader, our team was asked to envision a solution to the problem of tracking the transactions of multiple traders on a large scale. The challenge for me was to design a viable solution and deliver it to our CEO as a high-fidelity prototype in two days. A team of myself and a business analyst not only designed the solution on time, but did so by designing a solution that could be built on any number of platforms, and with the ability to utilize any number of cutting edge security technologies or mash-up features if required.

My Role

• Defined user needs using minimal business requirements due to rapid 48-hour design and delivery schedule.
• Documented rapid design requirements and user goals.
• Established usability guidelines based on online research and internal team meetings around project goals.
• Developed use cases and prototype scripts to demonstrate improved usability and functionality of the site.
• Designed and prototyped the user interface using iRise.
• Facilitated rapid review meetings to ensure accuracy of deliverables and meeting of project goals.
• Obtained buy-in of design from the executive sponsor of the project through creative vision, project planning, rapid turnaround and providing successful results.
